What is powder coating?

Powder coating is electrostatically charged powder applied to parts which are then heated to allow the powder to create a protective skin over the part. Powder coating provides advantages over typical paints. The coating is typically a harder yet more flexible finish. Once a coating is cooled, it emits virtually no odor.

 

Additional Services:

• Sandblasting or cabinet blasting is available in house based on the size of the parts. Larger pieces will be sent out as needed.
• Masking using high temp tape, plugs or cap for holes and/or threads
• Light dis-assembly and re-assembly
• Degreasing
• Out-gassing of cast pieces

 

A typical base price will include:

• Simple dis-assembly and re-assembly
• Light blasting to prepare surface for coating
• Masking & plugging to cover openings, threads or areas which don't require coating
• Single coat of powder

 

Additional charges may be assessed for the following:

• Complete dis-assembly
• Cleaning of grease and oil
• Heavy sandblasting by a 3^rd party
• Heavy rust removal
• Out-gassing of cast pieces
